Former Bafana Bafana striker Benni McCarthy has reportedly been robbed at gunpoint shortly after arriving back in SA.
|||Johannesburg - Media reports say that former Bafana Bafana striker Benni McCarthy was robbed at gunpoint in Johannesburg on Tuesday afternoon.
McCarthy had arrived in the country earlier on Tuesday and then made his way to a hair salon, ahead of his stint as a soccer analyst on a TV broadcast on Tuesday evening.
Reports say that soon after McCarthy arrived at the salon at around 1pm, three armed men walked in, drew their firearms and demanded McCarthy’s personal belongings, before driving off.
None of the other patrons in the salon were robbed.
