They're master decisionmakers, men who manipulate others' lives like chess pieces, men whose singular vision leads inexorably forward, no matter what collateral damage (to lives, or to the NFC East) they cause along the way. Sure, we can compare Eagles coach Chip Kelly and "House of Cards" impresario Frank Underwood on a macro level, but now they're even using the same tics.
Kelly's press conference on Wednesday was a masterpiece of definitive statement and media scolding, a lecture in which Kelly took the guessers and speculators to task for assuming they knew what he'd been plotting with his many trades. And he ended it with the classic Frank Underwood double-tap on the table, the sign that he owned this room and he was done.
