Houston Texans receiver Andre Johnson has been ruled out for the game with a concussion following a big hit from Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith.

Johnson ran a slant inside the Jaguars' 5-yard line and was rocked by Smith, the rookie linebacker, with a helmet-to-helmet hit. Johnson fumbled after contact, but the fumble was overturned when Smith was assessed a 15-yard penalty. Ryan Fitzpatrick scored a rushing TD soon afterward.


But the hit was very scary, and Johnson lay motionless — with his right arm seemingly frozen — for several moments. He was ruled out of the game with a concussion very soon after he left the field.
